Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read simple instructions, memos, and charts.
• Basic math: add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• Ability to follow standard procedures with limited variables.
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Select grinder type and abrasive belt grade per specifications.
• Operate handheld grinder to remove scratches, burrs, and weld material.
• Deslag and polish surfaces to a smooth finish.
• Set up and run grinding machines; load parts and monitor controls.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection per blueprint.
• Maintain grinding equipment; replace worn disks and belts; log maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
