Job summary

RBC Bearings Fairfield site is seeking a Machining Cell Setup Operator for the Grind Cell. You will perform multi‑setups and operate CNC and manual machining centers, including grinding and honing, to maximize production and quality. You will set speeds/feeds and select tooling accordingly.

You must be proficient with micrometers and various gauges, fill in on other department jobs, and train new hires as required. The role offers on‑site hours with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Set ups and operation of CNC and manual machining centers, grinding and honing machines to maximize production and quality.
• Set up tooling, speeds and feeds for various operations.
• Competent in using micrometers, verniers, indicators, plug/snap and air gauges.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate production records and inventory of tools.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist and train new employees and set up for short runs when needed.
