Job summary

RBC Bearings Hartsville is seeking a CNC Turn and Grind Set-Up Operator for the 3rd shift. The role requires setting up and operating CNC turning and grinding machines to produce precision metal components, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work both independently and with teammates, monitor tooling and machine offsets, perform inspections with micrometers and calipers, and participate in preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of related CNC experience or training, or equivalent.
• Experience in CNC turning and grinding operations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning and grinding machines to precise specifications.
• Read blueprints, process sheets, and job orders to determine machining requirements.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, dial gauges, and calipers to ensure conformance.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Record production and quality data and monitor machine performance.
• Troubleshoot machines and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling.
