Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a skilled machinist in Connecticut to operate CNC and manual machining centers, including grinding and honing, to maximize production and quality. The role requires tooling selection, speeds/feeds adjustment, and precise measurement with micrometers, verniers, and gauges.

• Must be competent in using micrometers, verniers, indicators, plug, snap and air gauges.
• Ability to fill in on any job in the department and set up short runs for qualification sizes.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure a safe, clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining centers, grinding and honing equipment to maximize production and quality.
• Determine production and quality levels; select tooling and set speeds and feeds.
• Use micrometers, verniers, indicators and gauges to verify part dimensions.
• Assist in training new employees and set up for short runs as needed.
• Maintain production records and keep the work area and inventory organized and safe.
