Job summary

Palmer Foundry, Inc. in Palmer, MA is seeking a Green Sand cutoff operator to trim excess aluminum from castings without cutting into the casting. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and effective communication on the shop floor.

The shift runs from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. You will cut excess aluminum, separate scrap, report defects, move scrap barrels, and maintain the saw and blades while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Cutoff excess aluminum from metal castings.
• Separate material type for scrapping.
• Report defects.
• Transport full scrap barrels to melt department.
• Sort and palletize parts after processing.
• Maintain saw, change blades, and PMs.
• Assist mold dump or knockout as required.
• Inspect all safety measures/equipment.
• Clean and maintain area.
• Attend production meetings.
• Complete department safety sheets.
• Perform other duties or assignments as directed by management.
