Job summary

Palmer Foundry, Inc. is seeking a skilled No-Bake Molder to join our foundry team in Palmer, MA. You will form sand molds and pour molten metal using room-temperature chemical binding, ensuring precision and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Experience with air-set resin systems is a plus, and there is emphasis on workplace safety and reliable performance in a first-shift role, with regular hours from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write clearly.
• Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Reasoning: apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and handle simple problems.
• Basic computer skills to review work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Place flask and drag onto molding board and position pattern inside drag.
• Sprinkle or spray parting agent onto pattern and flask; place reinforcing wire.
• Sift sand over pattern and compact around contours.
• Shovel and pack sand into the flask.
• Invert drag and replicate mold operation for cope.
• Lift cope and remove pattern from mold.
• Cut runner and sprue holes and repair impressions.
• Position cores into drag and reassemble cope and drag.
• Move and position work pieces; coordinate with Overhead Crane Operator.
• Pour molten metal into mold or direct Metal Pourer to fill mold.
• Form and assemble slab cores around pattern to reinforce mold.
