Palmer Foundry, Inc. in Palmer, MA is seeking a Green Sand cutoff operator to trim excess aluminum from castings without cutting into the casting. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and effective communication on the shop floor.
The shift runs from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. You will cut excess aluminum, separate scrap, report defects, move scrap barrels, and maintain the saw and blades while following safety procedures.

This position may require access to export-controlled technology or software source code that is subject to export controls restrictions under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and will therefore be required to meet eligibility criteria under ITAR and EAR regulations.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
No specific education or certification is required, however, high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is preferred.
Ability to read and write
Ability to add and subtract
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software for reviewing work instructions.
