Job summary

Atlanta Gear Works in Dawsonville, GA is seeking an experienced Industrial Gearbox Mechanic to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of industrial gearbox assembly experience and is capable of occasional travel.

The role is on first shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, with overtime opportunities. You will assemble gearboxes, mount bearings, read drawings, and verify gear contact patterns to ensure precision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of related gearbox assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings with precision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble gearboxes of various sizes and weights.
• Mount bearings and gears on shafts.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings.
• Set bearings and gear contact patterns accurately.
• Test parts for accuracy and quality.
• Travel to customer sites for inspections, repairs, and installs.
