Job summary

Amarillo Gear Company LLC is seeking a skilled assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on assembling gearboxes and related components, using micrometers and depth mics, while adhering to engineering drawings and quality standards.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably with gearboxes, and be able to work safely with cranes and lifting equipment. Collaborative team environment with emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years mechanical assembly experience, gearbox preferred.
• Must be able to operate overhead crane and forklift safely.
• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and strong written/spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to assemble gearboxes and components.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Perform quality inspections to meet standards.
• Identify defects and document findings.
• Rework or repair assembled equipment per specifications.
• Maintain safe, clean work area following 5S practices.
