Amarillo Gear Company LLC is seeking an assembler for predetermined repetitive operations in the assembly of right-angle gear drives. The role requires lifting and standing for long periods, with attention to precision and safety under Marmon Holdings guidance.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED, with preference for 1–2 years of trade school or industrial machining experience. Strong teamwork and ability to read micrometers are important to succeed.

Qualifications

• Preference for 1–2 years of trade school or industrial machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Check drive card for special instructions.
• Check gear serial numbers, model and ratio to meet drive card specs.
• Inspect ground surfaces on shafts for damage to critical areas.
• Assemble and set bearings and gears to specs, mounting distances and backlash.
• Verify oil line position to spiral bevel gears.
• Inspect and ensure complete assembly.
• Record gear MDs, spacer lengths, serial numbers, bearing settings, heat numbers on the drive card.
• Forward and file paperwork as necessary.
