Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Assembler Tech in Amarillo, TX. You will perform predetermined repetitive operations assembling right-angle gear drives and ensuring components meet specifications through careful checks and measurements.

The role requires standing for long periods, handling up to 50 lbs, and using micrometers and gauges to verify tolerances. This is a full-time on-site position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school or machining experience preferred.
• Hands-on skills in lathe work, grinding, drilling, fitting and pressing.
• Ability to read micrometers and gauges; good parts knowledge and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Check drive card for special instructions.
• Verify gear serial numbers, model and ratio meet specifications.
• Inspect ground shaft surfaces for damage in critical areas.
• Assemble/set bearings and gears to spec, mounting distances and backlash.
• Check oil line position to spiral bevel gears.
• Inspect overall assembly and ensure completeness.
• Document gear MDs, spacer lengths, gear serial numbers, bearing settings, heat numbers.
