Job summary

Triumph Group's Gear Lab is seeking a Night Shift Quality Inspector for ultra-high precision gear and tooling metrology. You will set up Klingelnberg P40/P65/P100 systems, program proprietary software, and perform geometric evaluation to ensure blueprints are met with tight tolerances.

Your role includes interpreting GD&T, collaborating with production to implement corrections, and inspecting complex gears, splines, and cutters on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or technical training; associate degree a plus.
• Experience with Klingelnberg evaluation software.
• Experience operating Klingelnberg P-series measuring beds.
• Strong reading of GD&T and blueprints.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, height gauges.
• 1–3 years gear inspection in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong problem solving and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and run Klingelnberg P40/P65/P100 measurements.
• Program and use Klingelnberg software for gear metrology.
• Inspect cylinders, bevel gears, splines, and hob/shaper components.
• Interpret charts to suggest corrections on the production floor.
• Apply GD&T to verify datums, form and position.
