Job summary

Triumph invites applications for a Quality Inspector (GMM Gear) on the night shift in Macomb, MI. The role focuses on ultra-high precision dimensional inspection and analysis of complex gearing, using Klingelnberg P40/P65/P100 platforms and proprietary software to ensure blueprinted tolerances are met.

You will read GD&T, program gear metrology, and collaborate with the production floor to implement corrective actions and maintain closed-loop data exchange with CNC gear grinders.

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology a plus.
• Klingelnberg Software Competency: Proficiency navigating Klingelnberg software for evaluation and calibration.
• Machine competency: experience using high-precision Klingelnberg P-series measuring beds and scanning probes.
• Strong reading of blueprints and GD&T knowledge to verify datums, form, and position.

Responsibilities

• Operate Klingelnberg CNC Center and run automated measuring cycles on P40, P65, and P100 systems.
• Program and use Klingelnberg software modules to measure tooth topology, deviations, helix variation, and pitch.
• Perform multi-type inspections on gears, splines, hob/shaper cutters.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to apply correction settings and exchange data between inspection lab and gear grinding/cutting machines.
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to verify specifications.
