Job summary

Triumph is seeking a Gear Lab Inspector to perform ultra-high precision dimensional inspection, testing, and geometric evaluation of gearing. You will set up, program, and operate Klingelnberg P40, P65, and P100 platforms with specialized software to ensure gear tooth profiles meet customer blueprints.

This role requires 1–3 years' experience in aerospace or defense gear inspections, strong GD&T skills, and proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school or technical school diploma; associate degree a plus.
• Proven Klingelnberg software competency.
• Experience operating Klingelnberg P-series measuring beds.
• Strong reading of blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with standard precision lab tools.
• 1–3 years gear inspection experience in aerospace or defense.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and run Klingelnberg P40/P65/P100 systems.
• Program software to measure tooth geometry and deviations.
• Inspect cylindrical/bevel gears, splines, and related components.
• Interpret charts to propose corrections on the shop floor.
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to verify datums and tolerances.
• Other duties as assigned.
