Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Must adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
• Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs., and reach to perform job functions
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, and ear plugs
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• English and Spanish speaking individuals are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from metal objects to prepare them for galvanizing
• Load objects on cranes, racks, or containers for transport through chemical and rinsing baths
• Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met
• Follow safety rules and regulations
• Report hazards, violations, or injuries to the Team Leader, no matter how minor
• Work overtime and weekends as required by Team Leaders to meet customer needs
