Job summary

Lindsay is seeking a hard‑working candidate to operate chemical cleaning equipment for metal parts destined for galvanizing. You will load, rinse, inspect, and ensure quality while strictly following safety rules.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment with variable temperatures and noise. Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from metal objects to prepare them for the galvanizing process.
• Load objects on cranes and on racks or containers carried through a series of chemicals and rinsing baths.
• Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met.
• Follow safety rules and regulations, including reporting hazards, violations, or injuries to the Team Leader.
• Work overtime and weekends as required by Team Leaders to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures, while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, (push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.) and reach to perform job functions.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc).
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Both English and Spanish Speaking individuals are encouraged to apply.
