Job summary

Pechanga Resort Casino is seeking a detail-oriented Food Runner to ensure accurate food preparation and presentation per outlet specs. You will coordinate timing between kitchen and service staff to maintain seamless service, especially during peak periods.

You will support coworkers, follow safety rules, and help sustain quality standards across the dining experience. This role requires flexibility and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
• Certificates: Gaming License, Food Handlers Certified, Tips Certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests professionally and meet their needs.
• Coordinate food orders between kitchen and service staff for timely delivery.
• Verify plate accuracy before serving and ensure proper food presentation.
• Inspect dishes for quality, temperature, and portion standards.
• Communicate with chefs and servers to prioritize orders during peak times.
• Manage ticket times and adjust pacing based on guest needs.
• Arrange and garnish plates per outlet specifications.
• Monitor ticket queues and relay special requests to kitchen staff.
• Perform side work: restocking, cleaning, and organizing dishware.
• Maintain a clean expediter area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Adhere to company policies and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
