Job summary

Pechanga Resort and Casino is seeking a detail-oriented Food Runner to ensure accurate and timely presentation of orders, coordinating closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams. You will support coworkers, maintain standards, and help improve service efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of hospitality experience, with ability to work weekends/holidays and obtain required licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Gaming License and Food Handlers Certification may be required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests professionally and meet their needs.
• Coordinate food orders between kitchen and service staff for timely delivery.
• Verify plate accuracy before serving and ensure proper food presentation.
• Inspect dishes for quality, temperature, and portion standards.
• Communicate with chefs and servers to prioritize orders during peak times.
• Manage ticket times and adjust pacing based on guest needs.
• Arrange and garnish plates per outlet specifications.
• Monitor ticket queues and relay special requests to kitchen staff.
• Perform side work: restocking, cleaning, and organizing dishware.
• Maintain a clean expediter area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Adhere to company policies and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
