Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, IA is seeking a Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot food production equipment. You will ensure product quality, safety, and GMP compliance while supporting efficient manufacturing on a 12-hour day shift (6 AM–6 PM) on a 2-2-3 rotation.

The role requires basic to intermediate computer skills, prior experience or training, and the ability to train for forklift certification. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Intermediate level of computer/technological skills.
• Ability to train for forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean all equipment prior to scheduled start time to ensure on time start-ups.
• Perform quality checks on product and recording information for specifications.
• Monitor spiral freezer operations and correct ice buildup to maximize quality and production length.
• Perform sanitation duties as required to get system back up quickly.
• Troubleshoot equipment not running effectively.
• Adhere to GMPs, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
