Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, Iowa is seeking a Machine Operator to operate, monitor and troubleshoot food production and packaging equipment to support efficient manufacturing.

You will ensure product quality and safety through inspections, GMP adherence, sanitation and timely start-ups on a 12-hour day shift (6 AM–6 PM) on a 2-2-3 rotation.

This position requires basic computer skills, ability to train for forklift certification, and experience in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Prior work-related experience and/or training.
• Intermediate level of computer/technological skills.
• Ability to train for forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean equipment prior to start time to ensure on time start-ups.
• Perform quality checks and record information, adjust systems to meet specs.
• Monitor conveyor/oven equipment and correct issues to maximize run length.
• Perform sanitation duties to restore operation within set time.
• Troubleshoot equipment not running effectively.
• Adhere to GMP, food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Report safety or quality concerns to management.
