Job summary

Prisma in Nashville, TN is seeking a Folder Gluer Operator to set up, operate, and maintain high-speed folding and gluing machinery to produce folding cartons.

You will perform make-readies, adjust stations, monitor quality, and troubleshoot production issues while complying with safety rules. This role involves 8–12 hour shifts and requires 1–3+ years of experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3+ years of experience operating high-speed folder-gluer systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and production orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete make-readies and machine adjustments based on job tickets and sample boxes.
• Configure machine stations including feeder, pre-folders, glue systems (hot melt and cold glue), delivery aprons, and compression belts.
• Run carton styles such as straight-line, lock-bottom (crash-lock), 4-corner, and 6-corner boxes.
• Monitor production for proper glue application, fold alignment, and product registration.
• Inspect finished pieces for defects and issues like glue smudges or adhesion problems and manage quality tracking systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues during production runs and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain precise logs of production quantities, setup times, waste/scrap counts, and runtime metrics.
• Adhere to all safety rules, including PPE and housekeeping standards.
