JT Cullen is seeking fitters to support heavy industrial fabrication projects in Fulton, IL. This hands-on shop role focuses on MIG welding, with opportunities for TIG, Stick, and Sub Arc depending on experience and project needs. If you take pride in your craft, we want to talk.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in fabrication/shop environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Measure, mark, and lay out material according to print specifications.
• Fit and align structural components.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances and squareness of assemblies.
• Tack weld components to hold assemblies before final welds.
• Use clamps, fixtures, and layout tools to position parts.
• Work with welders to ensure assemblies are ready for welding.
• Identify and resolve fit-up issues during fabrication.
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
