Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fitter Fabricator to perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication using advanced blueprint interpretation and multi-process welding in a fast-paced shop in Virginia.

The candidate will weld in all positions to AWS D1.1/D1.5, operate torch and plasma cutting equipment, read complex drawings, and train junior fabricators as needed. Independence and proven fabrication experience are required, with equal emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Advanced blueprint interpretation required.
• Proven fabrication experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Completion of inhouse AISC Layout & Fit-Up training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced layout and fit-up activities.
• Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW.
• Weld in all positions to AWS D1.1, D1.5 standards. (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G)

• Independently operate hand saws, mag drills, and fabrication equipment.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist with training junior fabricators.
