Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled assembler for 2nd shift at our US facility in ROMe (US-NY-ROME). Responsibilities include spraying parts, assembling components, performing pressure tests and in-process inspections, with hands-on use of gauges and measuring tools.

Onsite roles require attention to safety and process accuracy. The team focuses on high-quality aerospace components with strict procedures and certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical background preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and routing.
• Competent with hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Obtains stock, fixtures, tooling and gaging.
• Sprays parts.
• Performs Pressure Test.
• Performs sandblasting.
• Performs assembly functions.
• Performs assembler-service repair functions.
• Performs balancer functions.
• Performs test functions.
• In-process inspection as a certified operator.
• Prepackaging steps (dow, cap, tag & bag).
• Moves parts using computer transactions.
• Cleans machines and maintains general housekeeping.
• Provides direction to Module Support Tech.
• 2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3:00PM-11:30PM.
