Job summary

API Delevan, Inc. is seeking a Finishing Operator for an on-site role in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves setting up and operating simple machine tools and hand tools to deburr and finish gears, shafts, and related parts to meet quality standards.

Under supervision, you will follow routing sheets, operate burring machines and related equipment, and document all work performed while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Reads machining instructions or routing sheets and follows oral instructions.
• Operates burring lathe, sand blaster, parts washer, wire brush, burring machines and rounder.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate simple machine tools and hand tools to deburr and finish gears, shafts and related parts.
• Follow established procedures to remove burrs, excess metal, and surface imperfections.
• Use micrometers and precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and quality.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate paperwork for parts completed.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards and report deviations to supervisor.
