Job summary

You will collaborate with development engineers to deliver reliable connectivity solutions for manufacturing. The role requires hands-on aptitude, experience with mechanical test equipment and 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo), and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on aptitude and mechanical understanding.
• Experience with mechanical test equipment, microscopes and measurement devices.
• Familiar with safe lab practices.
• 3D CAD modeling experience (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo, or similar).
• Functions well in ambiguous situations and addresses issues proactively.
• Works well in a team environment, is a self-starter and results oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support development engineers in creating new products while generating deep scientific understanding.
• Build standard and custom optical connectors using both existing and newly developed manufacturing processes.
• Complete mechanical and optical testing to assess product performance.
• Perform troubleshooting of product and equipment.
• Collect and analyse numerical data.
• Create and modify documentation including manufacturing instructions.
