Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Fabrication Quality Control Technician at the DI Campus and Randleman location to ensure welds, paint, powder coat and metal fabrication meet design documents and customer specs.

The role includes inspecting finished products, interpreting drawings and coating/welding symbols, maintaining inspection equipment, and reporting non-conformances while contributing to continual product improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality assurance or fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and coating processes.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and welding/ coating symbols.
• Proficiency with data entry and basic math.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working environment and comply with regulations.
• Understand standards, UL files, and manufacturing practices for steel/aluminum.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure it functions correctly.
• Approve finished products against specifications and identify defects.
• Document results and input data into database.
• Track NCRs and non-conforming materials.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams.
