Whirlpool Corporation seeks a Fabrication Machine Operator to fabricate, repair, and machine metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures. You will read blueprints, plan layouts, and select machines to produce parts to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include operating lathes, mills, shapers, and grinders, inspecting dimensions with precision tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Experience with fabrication and tooling is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required for hourly production roles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators).

Aufgaben

• Fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Plan layout by studying blueprints, sketches, and models to determine materials and machines.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine parts.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances with dial indicators, micrometers, and gauge blocks.
• May connect wiring and hydraulic lines for electrical and hydraulic components.
