Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a skilled Fabrication Machine Operator to fabricate, repair, and precision machine metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures. You will interpret technical specifications, set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders, and verify dimensions with precision instruments.

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety practices, and may involve heat-treating and basic tool design input.

Formación

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Experience operating and monitoring presses and production lines.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators).

Responsabilidades

• Fabricates and repairs metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.
• Studies blueprints and specifications to plan materials and machine operations.
• Sets up and operates lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders; secures parts.
• Verifies dimensions and tolerances with precision instruments.
• May heat-treat tools or parts and connect wiring or hydraulic lines as needed.
• May examine tools and suggest design modifications or draw tool specifications.
