Clearfield in Minneapolis–Brooklyn Park, MN seeks an Extrusion Operator to run extrusion lines, inspect materials, and support end-to-end production. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs, ISO 9001, and EHS protocols, with ongoing training and material handling responsibilities.

The position involves reading work orders, adjusting machine settings, and recording production data while ensuring efficient, high-quality output that meets customer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience operating extrusion equipment or in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills for measurements, conversions, and production calculations.
• Knowledge of interpreting work orders, production specifications, and material requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus in following detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production equipment issues and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines, including start-up, shutdown, and changeover per SOPs.
• Pull orders and raw materials for production, attention to colors and materials like Kevlar/FRP.
• Review work orders to determine materials, settings, and production requirements.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production specifications.
• Monitor equipment gauges and operate line printers with safety precautions.
• Record production data and handle finished products with approved tools.
• Load/unload raw materials and move reels as per workflows.
• Remove and package finished products for further processing or storage.
• Clear minor jams and remove non-conforming materials.
• Assist with tooling changes and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and support CI initiatives.
