Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking aspiring solderers to support production operations on PCBs and PCBAs, with a focus on SMT and through-hole soldering, rework and repair of boards.

This is a 1st shift role (5:00 am–2:30 pm) with overtime encouraged. Candidates should have 2+ years of electronics assembly experience, hand soldering skills, and knowledge of ESD procedures. An onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 will be conducted during the interview.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering.
• Experience hand soldering is required.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures.
• Onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 during interview.
• Meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work extended hours using a microscope for inspection and touch-ups.

Responsibilities

• Solder SMT and Through-Hole components.
• Interpret routers, instructions, wiring diagrams and schematics for assembly.
• Inspect assemblies to meet IPC standards.
• Perform pass downs between shifts.
• Modify, solder, rework, repair assemblies per specs.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.
