Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking aspiring solder technicians to support production operations on PCBs and PCBAs. You will perform hand soldering and rework using SMT and through-hole techniques, and you will inspect work to IPC standards using a microscope.

You will interpret routers, wiring diagrams, and schematics to assemble electronics, perform pass downs between shifts, and repair assemblies per drawings and work instructions. The role requires on-site work and a 2nd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years electronics assembly and inspection with in-process soldering (through-hole and SMT).
• On-site soldering assessment to J-STD-001 during interview.
• Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Able to work 2nd shift, 2:30 pm–12:00 am, with microscope inspection.
• Hand soldering experience required; knowledge of ESD procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use soldering irons to attach SMT and through-hole components.
• Interpret routers, wiring diagrams, and schematics for electronics assembly.
• Perform inspections to meet IPC standards.
• Conduct pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
• Modify, solder, rework, and repair assemblies per drawings and work instructions.
• Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.
