KLA Milpitas is seeking a hands-on assembler to join our Precision Instrumentation teams. In this role you will assemble, calibrate and test mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assemblies and motion systems used in wafer positioning and inspection equipment.

You will troubleshoot, document findings, work with design engineers, and contribute to test plans. Strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with lasers or sensors is a plus, and 4–6 years of related experience are expected.

Competenze

• Hands on experience assembling mechanical parts such as machined parts, mechanical bearings, linear guides, and/or air bearings.
• Hands on experience with various pneumatic components such as pneumatic fittings, air flow meters, venturis, etc.
• Experience with aligning laser interferometers, auto-collimators, precision position measurement sensors such as cap sensors or optical encoders is a plus.

Mansioni

• Assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and optical assemblies.
• Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical assemblies consisting of bearings, linear guides, air bearings, pneumatic components, etc.
• Assembly of sub micron level motion systems consisting of wafer positioning stages, chucks and air bearings.
• Connecting and performing troubleshooting of electrical components such as electric motors, electrical cables, and motion controllers.
• Prepare technical reports, summarizing findings, and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• Require general computer skills and knowledge (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, PPT, etc.).
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot software-driven systems.
• Run software diagnostic scripts to collect data from hardware and present reports.
• Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction, and with general instructions on newly introduced prototypes.
• Work with design engineers to execute assembly and test according to test plan.
• Create assembly, testing, and troubleshooting procedure.
