Job summary

Jobot Consulting in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Inspection & Assembly Technician to support high-volume electronics manufacturing in a cleanroom environment.

You will assemble and inspect PCBs, hard drives and chips, operate precision inspection equipment, and ensure quality and reliability. This is a long-term contract with potential for permanent hire, with 2nd shift 12:30pm–9:30pm and inclusive benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electronic assembly and inspection, PCB/hard drive/chip components.
• Experience in a cleanroom environment (Class 10,000 or ISO 7) preferred.
• IPC-A-610 certification or willingness to obtain; Six Sigma, Lean, or SMT-related certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and inspect small electronic components in a high-volume production environment.
• Operate and maintain precision inspection equipment (CMM, OMM, AOI, microscopes).
• Perform quality control checks and functional testing on assemblies.
• Document defects, support corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols (Class 10,000) and wear full bunny suit.
• Assist with inspection methodologies and process improvements as needed.
