Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in small electronic assembly and inspection, particularly with PCBs, hard drives, and chips. You’ll work in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment, assembling and inspecting highly technical electronic components while ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and inspect small electronic components (PCBs, hard drives, chips) in a high-volume production environment
- Operate and maintain precision inspection equipment (CMM, OMM, AOI, microscopes, metrology tools)
- Perform quality control and functional testing on electronic assemblies
- Document defects, support corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and improve supplier performance
- Adhere to cleanroom protocols (Class 10,000; full bunny suit) and maintain strict quality standards
- Assist in developing inspection methodologies and process improvements
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in electronic assembly and inspection, with a focus on PCBs, hard drives, chips, and related components
- Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment (Class 10,000 or ISO 7; full bunny suit)
- IPC-A-610 certification (or willingness to obtain); Six Sigma, Lean, or SMT-related certifications are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related scientific field preferred
- Experience at Tier 1 Contract Manufacturers (Flex, Jabil, Celestica, Sanmina, Plexus, etc.) or OEMs (Apple, Google, Meta, Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, etc.) highly desirable
- Proficiency with MS Office and enterprise tools (Slack, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
