Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assembler 2 positions for a contract opportunity in Madison, AL. These roles involve performing a variety of production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of related experience, with experience reading engineering drawings, soldering, SMT, and using microscopes. Familiarity with MES systems such as SAP, Solumina, or Tableau is preferred, and ITAR/AS9100

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related assembly experience.
• Experience soldering, SMT, or wire harness construction preferred.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and work from instructions.
• Experience using microscopes for precision assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical subassemblies from diagrams and drawings.
• Use hand/power tools, jigs, and saws; perform initial layouts.
• Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
• May perform quality inspections to meet specifications.
• Disassemble/modify/rework/assemble/test experimental or prototype assemblies as needed.
