Job summary

Benshaw is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician in Panel Layout to precisely layout and install electrical components onto back panels of control cabinets. This role ensures proper placement of breakers, relays, terminal blocks, PLCs, drives, and related hardware to support safe, reliable motor control products.

You will read schematic drawings, mark holes, drill, and secure devices while adhering to UL and NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience assembling panels and electrical components.
• Strong precision and layout attention.
• Familiarity with UL standards and industrial hardware.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical layouts to determine correct component placement.
• Mark and drill holes in back panels for mounting hardware.
• Install and secure components: contactors, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, PLCs, relays, drives and soft starters.
• Use drills, screwdrivers, torque tools, and templates for accurate positioning.
• Ensure spacing and alignment follow UL, NEC, or customer standards.
