Job summary

AMETEK, Inc.'s Precitech division is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Keene, NH to design wiring, schematics, and controls for ultra-precision machine tools used in optical lenses and precision components.

You will collaborate across marketing, application, manufacturing and service teams, contribute to design reviews, and help develop cost-effective solutions while supporting products in the field. Requires CAD proficiency, Matlab, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 1+ year.
• Experience using electrical test equipment (signal generator, multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
• Proficiency in programming with C, C++ or similar.
• Experience in data acquisition and analog/digital signal processing.
• Experience with amplifiers, filters, encoders, motion controllers, and feedback loops.
• Matlab modeling, data analysis, and simulations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and engineer new electrical systems meeting customer requirements.
• Represent panel layouts, schematics, wire run lists and BOMs using CAD.
• Troubleshoot noise, transients, controllers, servo systems, and PMAC or similar equipment.
• Perform engineering changes with meticulous attention to design and documentation.
• Participate in product design reviews with the engineering team.
• Contribute to instruction manuals and product documentation.
