Job summary

AMETEK Precitech in Keene, NH, seeks an applications engineer to become a technical expert in optical and mechanical metrology systems. You will outreach for new opportunities, create technical solutions, and demonstrate capabilities with sample measurements and live demos.

You will train customers, understand their needs, and provide high-quality support. Travel across North America up to 70% is required; strong communication and presentations are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or greater degree in mechanical or optical engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% to North America.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident per ITAR restrictions.
• Based in Keene, NH, within commuting distance to Ametek Precitech.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as a technical expert in optical and mechanical metrology systems.
• Outreach for new opportunities, demonstrate system capabilities, and support customers.
• Provide system training, understand customer demands, and deliver support.
• Communicate through webinars and publications; travel to customer sites up to 70%.
