Job summary

AMETEK Precitech in Keene, NH, seeks an applications engineer to become a technical expert in optical and mechanical metrology systems. You will independently prove system capability with samples and live demos, and train customers while supporting them through webinars and publications.

The role requires up to 70% travel across North America, strong communication to explain complex topics to technicians, engineers, and researchers, and a drive to leverage AI tools to boost productivity and

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s or higher in mechanical or optical engineering or related field with 3+ years field experience.
Willingness to travel for work and work from AMETEK Precitech in Keene, NH.
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required under ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

Become a technical expert for optical and mechanical metrology systems and expand business through outreach.
Prove system capability with sample measurements and live demonstrations; conduct system training for customers.
Support customers through webinars and publications; provide timely technical support.
Travel to customer sites in North America up to 70% to support sales and applications.
