Job summary

Intellisense Systems, Inc is seeking an Electronics Assembler II in Torrance, CA to assemble complex electro-mechanical products and perform high-precision soldering per IPC standards. The candidate will support prototype builds, conduct in-process inspection, and ensure compliance with AS9100 procedures while collaborating with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing for timely delivery.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electronics or similar vocational training with several years of hands-on experience.
6+ years in high-tech manufacturing/production and strong soldering skills.
Experience with PCB assembly, harness production, ESD control, and optical components is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform precision hand soldering of electronic components per IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 standards.
Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems using detailed drawings and work instructions.
Support prototype builds by interpreting docs and providing feedback to improve manufacturability.
Execute production assembly and in-process inspection to meet quality standards.
Perform epoxy potting, bonding, and conformal coating as required.
Maintain material control, traceability, and inventory records per AS9100.
Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Purchasing to resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery.
Interface with departments to support material validation and part conformance.
Train and mentor team members on soldering techniques and workmanship standards.
Identify issues and opportunities for process improvement; escalate as needed.
Maintain ESD compliance and proper handling of sensitive components.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
