Job summary

AJ Rose Manufacturing in Avon, OH seeks a Die Maker responsible for studying blueprints, machining die components, assembling dies, and verifying dimensions. The role requires strong machining skills, shop math knowledge, and GD&T competence.

Responsibilities include operating lathes, mills, grinders, performing ISIR trials, and ensuring dies meet specs. High school diploma and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading proficiency required.
• Familiarity with tool room equipment.
• Machining skills include ID/OD grinding to tight tolerances.
• Experience in manufacturing environments helpful.
• Strong foundation in shop math (geometry, algebra, trig).
• Engineering problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards.
• Understanding of materials and mechanical drafting.
• Experience in tooling design.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, prototypes, and die models to plan operations.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders to machine parts to specs.
• Verify machined parts against specifications.
• Inspect and assemble dies, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Inspect dies during ISIR testing and adjustments.
• Support efficient production and timely completion of dies.
• Move and position machined parts using manual tools or hoists.
• Perform adjustments to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the die shop.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
