Job summary

AJ Rose Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our 1st shift team in Cleveland, OH. This role focuses on maintaining and improving progressive and transfer stamping dies used in high-volume metal stamping operations.

The ideal candidate brings a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience, 3+ years in metal stamping, and proficiency with blueprints, GD&T, and precision measuring tools. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Tool & Die experience in a metal stamping environment.
• Strong experience with progressive and transfer dies.
• Ability to operate manual toolroom equipment, including grinders, mills, lathes, and related machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with close tolerances and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive and transfer stamping dies.
• Diagnose tooling issues and adjust to ensure efficient production.
• Perform bench work, precision fitting, grinding, machining, and assembly of tooling components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on dies, fixtures, and related tooling.
• Support production by responding quickly to tooling downtime and quality concerns.
• Read blueprints, tool designs, engineering drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production on tooling improvements and new die launches.
• Evaluate die performance and modify to improve productivity and tool life.
• Assist with tryouts and startup of new or modified tooling.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
