5th Axis is seeking a Deburr & Finish Technician to prepare precision-machined components for inspection, assembly, and shipment. The role emphasizes careful finishing with burr removal and surface treatment using hand tools, blasting, and inspection processes.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and pride in accurate workmanship.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Patience and focus to perform detailed finishing work without damaging parts.
• Ability to recognize and report defects or discrepancies.
• Basic computer skills; able to learn Epicor or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Deburr, sand, blast, and finish machined parts according to work instructions.
• Remove burrs and imperfections without changing dimensions or features.
• Use approved finishing tools and blasting equipment safely.
• Load and unload parts from blasting equipment as trained.
• Visually inspect finished work for defects and quality.
• Record labor time and production data in Epicor or systems.
• Report quality issues, equipment problems, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
