Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Cut to Length Assistant Operator to support the processing line and machine operations under supervision. The role serves as junior operator, with responsibilities including line setup, loading, and quality checks.

This position operates on second shift with overtime as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and prior warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience using computers for work or school.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior industrial warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient with basic measurement tools such as tape measures.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to follow safety and operational processes and procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and train others as needed.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with line and machine setup and production processes.
• Load products onto the line or machine following safety and quality standards.
• Report non-conformances during processing to the operator.
• Assist in the creation and adjustment of setups as required.
• Aid in the packaging area as needed.
• Support and/or train on other lines or machines to meet business needs.
• Utilize computer systems to facilitate production tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
