Job summary

Microwave Techniques is seeking an experienced Cut Off Operator for its Gorham, Maine facility. This full-time day shift position runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with duties to set up and operate metal-sawing equipment and ensure cut specifications are met.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with micrometers and calipers, the ability to read job orders, and a track record of safe machine operation.

Qualifications

• Experience reading job orders and specifications.
• Proficient with micrometers and calipers.
• Experience with metals and plastics.
• Strong math and technical aptitude.
• Able to work to production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal-sawing machines to cut stock per specs.
• Set up and run bandsaws and circular/abrasive saws.
• Read job orders for material/type/size.
• Measure work to spec using handheld tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory system records.
