Job summary

Microwave Techniques LLC in Gorham, Maine is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for first shift (6:00am–2:30pm). The role requires 3+ years of machining experience, ability to read blueprints, and a focus on safety and precision.

You will operate lathes, mills, and other manual machines, set up fixturing, and optimize feeds and speeds while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Manual Machinist preferred.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, setup sheets and work tickets.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, mills, Bridgeports, drill presses, routers, etc. and set-up fixturing for manual machines.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints and perform dimensional verification.
• Measure finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specs using precision instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance of machines and tools to maintain precision machining operations.
• Machine one-of-a-kind pieces from blueprints or sketches.
