Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Precision Cooling System Specialist to act as the field expert for Liebert precision cooling equipment. You will support field trials, startup activities, and escalation-driven problem solving, coordinating with engineering and local staff to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires extensive field travel, strong technical training background, and the ability to work with building management systems. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience with Liebert Precision Cooling Equipment plus a 4-year HVAC Engineering degree, or 10 years as a technician with Liebert Precision Cooling Equipment.
• EPA refrigerant license certification required.
• Complete all available Product Training Classes (especially iCOM).
• Excellent customer service, communication and diplomacy skills.
• Proficient with electrical/electronic test equipment and schematics/diagrams.
• 'Craftsman' level brazing skills required.
• Ability to repair/modify Liebert precision cooling equipment.
• Ability to network controls of major product lines (DS/XD/CRV) and coordinate teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Field Trials—schedule travel, coordinate on-site training, resolve unique issues.
• Resolve customer problems where Liebert equipment underperforms; maintain relationships with sales and customers.
• Coordinate, supervise and perform factory Start Up of key products.
• Contribute to NPDP teams with feedback to engineering and training materials.
• Provide feedback to factory on product quality and reliability issues.
• Train local staff on maintenance after issue resolution.
• Provide telephone Diagnostic Engineering support during peak periods.
