Job summary

CRH’s Oldcastle division is seeking a production operator to operate plant machinery and produce concrete products in a safety-focused environment in the United States. You will inspect product quality, assist in maintaining production records, and help ensure efficient operation of equipment on a daily basis.

This role requires reading procedures, lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or at least 1-year experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instruction and manuals.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment efficiently to produce concrete products from raw materials to yard stage.
• Inspect the quality of products according to standards.
• Assist in maintaining accurate production records.
• Monitor the operations of machinery and report malfunctions.
• Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and other functions related to job changes.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area in a clear and orderly fashion.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead Operators.
• Cross-train on other aspects of the production process.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all work assignments.
• Follow applicable housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
