Job summary

Amsted Automotive in Belleville, MI is seeking a Header Operator for the SMW Team. You will set up and run cold formers, inspect parts to exact specifications, and maintain production workflow. Training starts on first shift and transitions to second shift after completion.

You will collaborate with teammates, perform developmental setups, and document quality data and production records to ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with cold forming or header machines is a plus.
• Ability to read tool layouts, part prints, and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cold formers (headers) to produce parts per spec.
• Measure and inspect parts during production using micrometers, calipers, gauges.
• Load material, draw to size, adjust tooling and verify machine settings per orders.
• Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot malfunctions, perform minor maintenance.
